Crimson Crush

A mid-sized Seattle gang, Crimson Crush began thirty years ago as one of the many metahuman gangs that formed in the wake of the Night of Rage. Specifically, their neighborhood is The Verge in the Redmond Barrens. They guard their turf jealously, keeping strangers out and punishing any humans stupid enough to come sniffing around. The gang has since taken on some qualities of the Yakuza in their relationships with the neighborhood, becoming the closest thing the locals have to law enforcement and a “neighborhood watch group.” The Crush takes care of its own, like after the Crash, when they cracked skulls to keep order and distributed food, water and medicine to people in need (some of which they “liberated” from warehouses and convoys). They take “tribute” from local businesses, but at least provide some actual security in exchange for it, and deal chips in nearby Touristville, mainly to out-of-towners.

Members of the Crimson Crush still mistrust humans in general, and any signs of Humanis activity are a red flag to them. Initially they were an all-ork gang, but they have expanded a little to include a few trolls and even a couple ork-poser humans. One of their primary hangouts is The Scumpit, a local dive bar. Their color, obviously, is red.

Crimson Crush are an exceptional turf gang, possessing the firepower to keep other gangs, crime syndicates and the police from edging in on their ground. The other major gangs of the Redmond Barrens (the Brain Eaters, the Spiders, the Rusted Stilettos, the 162s, and the Red Hot Nukes) are all rivals, but recently the Crush have been fighting the First Nations for control of The Verge.
