Shadowrun: The Wilson Hall Irregulars
A living part of Seattle history, the venerable Club Penumbra is one of the longest-running nightclubs in the metroplex, having weathered events like the shutdown of the nearby Renraku Arcology and the Crash. Its design is largely unchanged from back when it opened decades ago, with an industrial moonscape style accented with neon and trideo screens. Small, intimate tables and shadowy nooks offer privacy, all overlooking a sunken central dance floor. Penumbra has taken advantage of its seniority in the Seattle scene with weekly retro nights on “Flashback Friday” for those who want to party like it’s 2049.
The Penumbra has long been known as a ’runner club. The clientele is equal parts stubborn old-timers and new kids who like the retro style. It was recently the subject of a bidding war between the Mafia and Yakuza that nearly erupted into open conflict, but a mysterious co-op was able to purchase the place at the last minute and continue its tradition as neutral ground. Rumor has it these buyers are former shadowrunners looking to spend their retirement at the place.
